PETITION – Waste Tyre Regulations as proposed by DEAT
2nd September 2008
The TDAFA representing some 1600 tyre dealers in the country, made a submission to Minister Martinus Van Schalkwyk on the 28th May 2008 regarding the passing of the proposed regulations. One of the very first requests by ourselves to the Minister was to set up a meeting to further exacerbate the impact this proposition will have on all parties concerned, however we have to date not received any feedback. This regulation, in the proposed format, has major implications, and we believe that a petition to the Minister would truly gain the respect of our concerns and a relook at the complete draft.
A petition has since been drafted highlighting just some of the impacts this proposal may have on Industry. Please feel free to access and revert by fax back to Vishal on 011 789 9121 or simply call Vishal on 011 886 6300 for further details.
A copy of the petition, proposed draft together with our first submission can be viewed in the “news” section of the website.
Once again we assure you of our continued commitment to your association.
